For Immediate Release:

Announcing the Fifth Annual Pond Tour benefiting Family & Children’s Aid

July 8th, 2006

This year’s event will start at Cooper’s, the sponsors, with a Welcoming Ceremony at 9:00 am that morning.  Travel books will then be distributed for the self-guided tour of the ponds and landscapes open for the tour.  In response to previous year’s comments the viewing area has been limited to the Danbury and Ridgefield areas.  With fewer ponds and tighter geography, tourist will have more time with the ponds for their enjoyment.

Touring is $20 per person with all the money collected assisting the various programs of Family & Children’s Aid.  FCA is a Danbury based not for profit organization working throughout the county providing services to many children, family, and elderly individuals.  They have been working in the community for over 100 years.

Reservations should be made in advance by:

Calling Family & Children’s Aid at 203-748-5689 extension 0 or

visit Cooper’s at 32 Miry Brook Rd, Danbury Airport South or

call Cooper’s at 203-790-6700.

Brad Cooper’s love for water gardens has been spreading over the years and as a board member of the Agency, he is happy to once again sponsor this event.  The homes at Family & Children with a water feature have those without envious.  One particular young woman uses a neighboring FCA pond to step back and get her emotions in check. Due to her connection to this water feature, Brad is building another one on campus Saturday June 24th.  Come and join us.  Truly water gardens are a place for people to relax by at the end of the day.  Watching the water is very soothing as is listening to a rambling stream.  Come and join us, experience the wonder of water gardens and raise money for Family and Children’s Aid.  Bring your friends and family and help out a neighbor.
