Bulk Mulch & Top Soil

Our Mulch is sold bulk, which is available for Delivery in the local area. Most mulches are available in bags for cash and carry. Our trucks can hold a maximum of 12 yards of Cedar Mulches, maximum of 10 yards of Pine Mulches, maximum of 8 yards of Sweet Peet and 4 yards of topsoil and compost. There is a delivery charge based on the town we deliver to. There is a delivery charge per truck based on the town we dellivery to.  We encourage you to stop by our location and take samples of our mulch.

1 cubic yard of material covers 100 square feet at 3 inches in depth.
 

Bark Finishing Mulch - $40.00 per cubic yard


This mulch consists of shredded Pine, Hemlock and native bark. This color is a medium/dark chocolate brown. A great value for holding the ground, color and general looks in finishing the landscape.

Hardwood Mulch - $33.00 per cubic yard 

Is a blend of a variety of hardwoods. It is a light/medium brown.

 “The Best Mulch on Earth”, this product is the most unique of any mulch as it is composed pine shavings and stable beddings with natural tannins flowing through as it ages. Mulching your garden beds with this mulch is a must for the earthy soil it will help produce. It is excellent in perennial & annual beds.

Natural Cedar - $43.00 per cubic yard


This mulch is from northern white cedar trees. Reports are there is a limited supply this year due to the housing slump. The mulch presents a light to medium gold color with the smell of cedar. The texture is fine and gives an even and smooth appearance when applied. This mulch tends to interlock due to the fibrous nature of the bark providing the strongest holding features on a steep incline. Also available with a Red color enhancement (see below).

Black Cedar - $47.00 per cubic yard


This mulch is from northern white cedar trees. The mulch has had a  black colorant added. The texture is fine and gives an even and smooth appearance when applied. This mulch tends to interlock due to the fibrous nature of the bark providing the strongest holding features on a steep incline.

Playground Safety Material - $35.00 per cubic yard

This product is the core wood of the native trees ground to a
specification for testing/certification for use in playgrounds. The
color is a blonde/light brown and with the kids playing in the area, it
will naturally get moved/distrubed to aid in the health of the product preventing
the growth of artiluary sprouses.
 

Premium Screened Topsoil - $44.00 per cubic yard


A premium screen soil rich from the old farms in northern Fairfield and Litchfield counties. This is the choice of many landscapers for both lawns and new landscape beds because time after time, their clients are please with what the soil does for their landscapes.

Composted Soil - $37.00 per cubic yard


An excellent product for your garden beds to be mixed with the existing soil allowing aeration, and tilth to the soil. A nice dark rich color.

Hemlock Mulch - not available

Brad has seen the best a Hemlock in 2008 and 2009. Unfortunately the best is NOT available and several samples available are just not destinghishable from other blends of pine barks. Hence, no value for the additional costs.
