Cooper’s “Build-A-Pond Day”

Ridgefield, CT- August 29, 2002 - Over thirty landscape experts will come together on September 13, 2002 at the Cooper’s pond supply warehouse to learn, first hand, how to create and install a beautiful, ecologically friendly water garden.

Cooper’s, will host this “Build-A-Pond Day” event at 626 Danbury Rd., as part of a national campaign developed by Aquascape Designs, Inc. for the purpose of educating landscape contractors in building water features that promote the restoration and enhancement of natural habitats.

The “Build-A-Pond Day” will start at 9:00 a.m. Two instructors from Aquascape Designs, Inc. will guide the contractors through the installation of the water feature as well as educate them on the importance of maintaining a well balanced ecosystem. In this way plants and fish thrive naturally with minimal intervention. At the end of the day (even with a break for lunch!) what began as a barren patch of weeds, grass etc will be magically transformed into a one-of-a-kind water feature.

Water gardening is the fastest growing national trend in landscaping today. The goal of this “Build-A-Pond Day” is to make sure landscapers who build them know the importance of building a beautiful, tranquil, and environmentally friendly pond that will leave their customers feeling inspired by nature.
