Coopers Supports
United Way of Northern Fairfield County in I-95’s Guy in the Sky Promotion
For Immediate Release:
November 29, 2005
Danbury, Connecticut – As part of United Way - Northern Fairfield County’s
Fundraiser with Radio Station I-95 out of Brookfield,
Coopers has provided a Water
Garden at no charge for auctioning
off with Neil Hedley – the Guy in the Sky promotion. United Way is looking to close the gap in
funding to better support the 38 Agencies it helps fund on an annual basis. June Renzulli,
president of United Way
approached Brad Cooper of Coopers Landscape Supplies, the largest Aquatics Center
in Fairfield County to assist.
A sample water garden was built at the
promotional site opposite North
Street Shopping
Center which includes aquatic plants and fish to
complete the balanced eco-system, the start of a Natural Habitat for any person’s
yard. Brad stated that the water garden
will be an 8 foot by 11 foot water feature to build a relaxing Life Style for
the highest bidder’s busy life. The
water garden has been reported to add 15% value to ones home in a national
survey researched by www.AquascapeDesigns.com
out of Chicago.
Brad and his wife Lyn own Coopers (formerly known as Cooper Mulch) and were delighted to assist by offering a water
garden installation valued at $3,500 as part of the fundraising effort. Brad stated that he has always been community
minded with mentoring in the Norwalk School System for years while employed
with Perkin-Elmer and today as President of Family
& Childrens Aid’s (www.FCAweb.org) Board of Directors.
Coopers, a Landscape Supply company located
in Danbury by
the airport is now celebrating their ten year anniversary. Prior to being in business for themselves, Brad worked at Perkin-Elmer
in Norwalk for
24 years in Customer Service and Information Technology and Lyn operated a
Family Day Care.
