Cooper's buy 5 Acre track near airport

on the Ridgefield/Danbury line on Route 7, a landscape supply firm, recently
purchased a five acre parcel of land for a new Distribution Center as they celebrate
the family business’s 5th Anniversary.
After 2 years of searching and negotiating with the limited number of available parcels, Joe Wrinn, Vice President with Goodfellow-Ashmore Agency in Danbury was able to coordinate the deal. The seller, Ted Gemza, a long time area resident, was pleased to see the property transfer to an organization operating a clean well respected business. Financing was arranged through Charles Krolides, Vice President at the Ridgefield Bank who stated “our mission is to support local small businesses such as Cooper's which has operated a neat well organized facility since 1995”.
The property is located on the South side of the Danbury Airport (32 Miry Brook Road) overlooking the airport in direct line of sight to Sears at the Danbury Fair Mall. Lyn (Managing Member) and her husband Brad will operate the Distribution Center from this location. The Retail Center will remain at Route 7 on the Ridgefield/Danbury Line. Lyn stated “we are very happy to have completed this major step forward, which could only be achieved with the many wonderful customers that we have gotten to know by name”. Besides mulch, Cooper's sells water gardens, Sweet Peet, Crushed Stone, Wall Stone, Belgian Block, Concrete Pavers. Further the company introduced the Mulch Express concept to the area, which shoots mulch directly from the truck into the various planting beds around the home.
